A driver hit two children in an English town. One of the two died on Friday morning, police in Essex confirmed. The driver is under investigation.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, the boy died at the scene of the accident, police said. Paramedics took the other child to a hospital.
A man has been arrested following the crash in Stock, north-east London. Investigators accuse the 23-year-old of dangerous driving and possibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

“This is clearly an incredibly tragic incident that has affected many people in the area,” Detective Inspector Mark Fraser said. He asked that no speculation be made about what happened in the accident.
