Last week, two motorists, a pedestrian, a truck driver and a passenger in a car were killed in traffic accidents. Two of the five road users who died last week had an accident this weekend.
The week before, two people were killed on national highways B and national highways L and one on a highway.
There were two traffic fatalities in Lower Austria and one each in Carinthia, Upper Austria and Styria.
Four of the five fatalities were foreigners and one fatality was a solo accident.
The suspected main causes of the accident were in two cases non-compliance with rules/prohibitions and in one case misconduct by a pedestrian, carelessness/distraction and violation of the right of way.
