The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahuhas assured that Israel the safety responsibility in the Gaza Strip for an “indefinite” period once they put an end to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
“I think Israel will have, for an indefinite period of time, the overall responsibility for security, because we have seen what happens when we don’t have it. “If we don’t have that security responsibility, what we have is the eruption of Hamas terror on a scale we couldn’t imagine,” Netanyahu said during an interview with ABC News.
These statements by the Israeli Prime Minister occurred despite the fact that the US government has assured on numerous occasions that it will not support an occupation of the Gaza Strip.
As for the founding of humanitarian breaks in the enclave, a possibility he has discussed with the President of the United States, Joe Biden, the Israeli president has claimed that these will not take place until Hamas is prepared to free all hostageswhich Israeli authorities estimate at around 240.
