“A dream job!” – Locomotive in training wanted for the “Harry Potter” route.

Date:

It is beautiful and became world famous with the ‘Harry Potter’ films – the train route over the Glenfinnan Viaduct in Scotland. Train drivers in training are now being sought for this beautiful route.

Train company Scot Rail is looking for drivers who also want to drive the picturesque route in the Highlands, the BBC reported on Tuesday. According to the online vacancy, the location is Fort William, at the foot of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. Applicants must be at least 20 years old and receive a starting salary of approximately 38,000 euros. The route is also served by a steam train, often compared to the “Hogwarts Express”. The Glenfinnan Viaduct is popular with tourists trying to take a photo with the train. However, ‘Harry Potter’ is not the only famous film made on the West Highland Line. In Trainspotting (1996), a scene takes place at Corrour station, which at 408 meters is considered the highest and most remote station in Britain. It’s a ‘dream job’, advertised the online job fair Hijobs, which offered the position on behalf of the train provider “Job connects people” “As a driver for Scot Rail you could drive on some of the most beautiful railway lines in the world and take on the important job to transport and connect people in Scotland,” it reads. Interested parties must remain calm even in stressful situations and always adhere to the highest safety standards.
