At an intersection in Graz, a Slovenian (36) crashed his car into an emergency vehicle carrying a 63-year-old with blue lights and a horn.
On Tuesday evening, a rescue driver (25) stood on Kärntnerstrasse with flashing lights and horn to take a patient (63) to hospital as quickly as possible. A serious accident occurred at the intersection with the hospital belt: the emergency services driver stopped shortly before entering the intersection and then drove straight away. A Slovenian (36) must have overlooked this: he crashed his company car into the emergency vehicle, which fell to the side and slid a few meters further.
All those involved – the emergency driver, a paramedic (19), the patient (63) and the Slovenian (36) – were injured and taken to hospitals. Everyone except the seriously injured patient was able to go home.
