A teenager attacked a rabbi on the Paris subway and kicked him in the back. He had previously spoken to the Jewish scholar in Arabic in the hallway at the La Chapelle stop. The reason for the attack is unknown.
The Jewish scholar was dressed accordingly and waited for the Paris metro in the corridor of the La Chapelle stop on Wednesday. There he was addressed in Arabic by the youth, who said he was 14 years old and from Syria. Finally, for no apparent reason, he attacked him and kicked him in the back.
The rabbi was unharmed in the incident. Metro security personnel were able to identify and arrest the perpetrator with the help of video surveillance. The pastor has filed a complaint.
