Chaotic scenes during a cinema screening: Some visitors set off fireworks in the cinema and panic broke out.
The cinephiles had actually wanted to watch the new Hindi action thriller ‘Tiger 3’ starring Salman Khan in Malegaon, India – but suddenly a group of visitors provided more action than you would like.
Halfway through the performance, they set off fireworks around 10:15 PM (local time) to apparently celebrate the actor’s on-screen appearance. Video footage from the cinema shows the turbulent scenes during the incident.
Large fireworks shot across the room
Malegaon police then said large fireworks were set off, including ‘rockets’, sparklers, multiple explosions, sutli bombs and more. These all posed a danger to the people in the cinema.
A complaint will now be filed against those responsible, who have not yet been identified. “Some people set off fireworks in the closed theater hall, endangering the lives of those present. No injuries have been reported to us so far,” the local police chief said in shock.
Already the second such incident
This is the second incident in a short span of time where fireworks were set off at a cinema hall in Malegaon. On October 7, there were similar explosions – probably to celebrate the appearance of actor-star Shah Rukh Khan.
