Beating for father – “Beaten in front of my children”

Date:

A previously unknown person caused a stir last week on a bus on Floridsdorfer Brünner Straße (Vienna). The knocker apparently attacked a man in front of his two children.

Bernhard P. (name changed) described an unpleasant incident at the “Krone”. A few days ago he picked up his two children at lunchtime from school and kindergarten in Floridsdorf and wanted to take them home by bus. And so the father and his descendants boarded the bus on Brünner Straße. The children sat on the seats directly next to the bus driver, while a few rows further there was only standing room left for Bernhard P..

Daughter burst into tears
Suddenly, as P. says, an unknown man started harassing his children for no reason. When the father intervened to protect his children and wanted to confront the man, he struck. ‘I told him to leave her alone. Suddenly he hit me with his fist in front of the children,” said P. The daughter started crying, so P. sent the children to the back of the bus. Ideally, he would have hit back at the ‘Krone’: ‘But not in front of my children.’

The bus driver claims he saw nothing
“Thank God I wasn’t injured, it was just unpleasant,” says Bernhard P.. Annoying: Neither the passengers nor the driver intervened. The Wiener Linien knows nothing about the incident.

And yet the advice is: if a situation threatens to escalate, use the emergency intercom, inform the driver or call the police. In that case, according to P., the driver apparently did not notice anything.
