A second fall from the window by a small child caused a stir on Sunday evening. A four-year-old girl fell through a screen in Neuhofen/Krems and suffered serious injuries. Around noon, a one-year-old girl fell from a window in Baumgartenberg and was seriously injured.
A four-year-old girl was alone in her nursery on the first floor of a family home in Neuhofen an der Krems on Sunday evening. The parents were then on the same floor but in different rooms. The little one climbed on the windowsill, opened the window herself and leaned against the screen outside.
Four meter fall
This one couldn’t withstand the pressure and the girl fell about four meters into the driveway below. Parents and neighbors immediately gave first aid and called the rescue service. The seriously injured child was taken by emergency helicopter to Kepler University Hospital.
