The former US president announced the name of the candidate, the senator from Ohio, on his social network on Monday.
Former US President Donald Trump on Monday announced that US Senator JD Vance will be the vice presidential nominee, as the Republican Party prepared to officially nominate Trump as its 2024 presidential candidate.
“After much deliberation and reflection, and taking into account the tremendous talents of many others, I have determined that the most qualified person to assume the office of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio,” he announced on his Truth Social platform.
“As Vice President, JD will continue to fight for our Constitution, support our troops, and do everything he can to help me Make America Great Again,” he wrote.
