A 46-year-old rioted in an apartment in Vienna-Brigittenau on Wednesday evening and strangled a 28-year-old woman. An acquaintance of the victim eventually called the police; the 30-year-old had let the man live with her as a subtenant and the 28-year-old was visiting when the argument broke out. When officers arrived, the man was drunk and very aggressive. The apartment appeared destroyed, police said Thursday.
