Siemens Energy has assured that it is not among its plans to change the headquarters of Siemens Gamesa in Zamudio.

Siemens Gamesa rose 6.15% during its trading session this Monday, after main shareholder Siemens Energy launched a takeover bid (takeover bid) of EUR 18.05 per share to control the 32.93% that do not own its subsidiary.

The Minister of Economic Development of the Basque Government, Arantxa TapiaSiemens has asked Gamesa “immediately” for information about the operation announced this weekend and has assured that the Basque government will work to maintain the company’s operations in Euskadi.
For her part, Clara Fernández, the chairman of the works council of Siemens Gamesa, has expressed the “maximum concern for employment and the direction” of the company and asked the Basque and Spanish governments to “screen the positions of the workers”.
