The piste rescuers were challenged all over Tyrol last Sunday. Accidents, some serious, led to many surgeries. An Austrian (84) died after a fall in the clinic in Innsbruck.
The senior reportedly fell in the municipality of Grän in the Ausserfern after a German skier (67) ran the man over the ends of his skis. Both fell.
The Austrian was seriously injured and had to be flown to the clinic with the emergency helicopter. As the police now report, the 84-year-old died on Wednesday at the clinic in Innsbruck.
