Unfortunately, an 80-year-old woman belatedly became suspicious on Friday morning in the Viennese district of Hietzing when an alleged police officer called her. When the alleged officer arrived at the elderly lady’s home a little later and wanted to take the contents of her locker, the man quickly became violent…
The alleged police officer initially contacted the woman by phone and reported that someone using a fake ID had attempted to withdraw money from her account. She must therefore empty her locker as a precaution. A ‘colleague’ would later come to her home to photograph the contents of the safe.
The concerned 80-year-old then went to the bank and did as the alleged police officer told her. When his ‘colleague’ suddenly wanted to take the contents of the safe, the victim was against it.
Escaped with gold coins and jewelry
The suspect then pushed the lady aside, punched her in the face several times and fled with the gold coins and jewelry. The 80-year-old was slightly injured in the crime. However, she could not yet be interviewed.
