Radical opponents of abortion apparently see it differently, who have now started a petition against the Vorarlberg abortion solution on the relevant website Citizengo.org.
This solution was presented a few weeks ago after a tough battle: abortions will now be performed as a private service at the Bregenz Hospital. A new arrangement became necessary because the only doctor who has previously performed abortions is retiring at the end of this year.
Mentioning all employees by name
A petition has now been started on the site that is directly addressed to the head of the hospital’s gynecology department. He should be called upon to ‘block’ the state government’s plans, but not only is he named, all the people working in gynecology are also named. They could be “pressured to have abortions even if it violates their conscience.”
Opponents are chasing an illusion
The goal of the petition is an “abortion-free Vorarlberg”. What the petition owners apparently don’t want to admit is that an ‘abortion-free’ Vorarlberg has never existed – and never will.
