Four bulls weighing 350 kilograms escaped from their stable in the Mostviertel on Sunday. The fourth animal even had to be searched throughout the city.
The first three cattle were quickly returned to their stables, but the fourth kept the Rems fire brigade in St. Valentin in the Amstetten district on their toes. With the help of a thermal imaging camera, the bull was eventually discovered in a remote location.
Challenging animal rescue
21 Florianis were in action. “Rescuing animals is always seen as a challenge because it is often uncertain how animals behave in stressful situations – especially with a weight of more than 350 kilograms,” the fire brigade writes in a press release.
