Animal tracks in the fresh snow cause unrest in a small town in the municipality of Weitersfelden (Upper Austria). A farmer and father of two children raises the alarm: “None of us walk through the city alone anymore.” What’s behind it?
“A neighbor discovered the tracks in the snow and showed them to me. There are a total of five tracks, some just two meters from the chapel and the houses, about 15 meters from the fire station,” says Peter Haunschmid (32), farmer and father of two children from the twenty-house town of Wienau in the 1000-resident community of Weitersfelden in the Freistadt district. “I have already asked the state wolf management and sent them the photos of the paw tracks.”
