Lack of money was the motive of a brother and sister who hatched a plan – probably not well thought out – to rob a 33-year-old colleague of the woman (21). The brother attacked the victim just as he was taking the daily password from work to the bank. Moments later, the handcuffs clicked for both the 19-year-old and his sister.
As investigations have revealed, the 33-year-old and the 21-year-old work together in a medical company in the Donaustadt district of Vienna. Therefore, the young woman knew when her colleague would take the money to the bank. She is said to have shared this knowledge with her 19-year-old brother.
Victim threatened with gas pistol
Anyway, the 19-year-old saw the 33-year-old around 6.45pm last Friday and threatened her with a gas gun. He demanded the daily solution and then fled with his loot.
During the investigation by the LKA Vienna, the siblings quickly came under suspicion. On Monday, the Cobra arrived at the young man’s home address and arrested him. The handcuffs also clicked for his sister in her apartment.
Both suspects confessed and cited financial need as a motive. Some of the stolen property and the murder weapon were recovered.
Brother and sister were taken to a prison.
