On Wednesday, shortly before noon, a tragic traffic accident occurred in the Preitenegg area. A driver from Styria (80) lost consciousness while driving and could no longer be resuscitated.
The 80-year-old driver from Styria was driving his car on Packer Straße (B 70) in the Preitenegg region around 11.25 am when he suddenly lost consciousness. As a result, the car crashed into a fence and a garden wall and immediately came to a stop near the armory of the Preitenegg fire brigade.
The driver died at the scene of the accident despite immediate CPR. His 86-year-old passenger, also from Styria, had to be flown to the Graz accident hospital by C12 rescue helicopter with injuries of an undetermined nature. The vehicle was a total loss.
