A 47-year-old is suspected of defacing a police vehicle and the walls of an underground parking garage with swastikas at Graz’s main station on Tuesday. The man, who appears to have psychological problems, has been arrested.
Around 12:30 on Tuesday afternoon, a person at the Graz Central Station police station reported that a company car parked in front of the office had been defaced with swastikas. While the ad was being recorded, another person reported that a man had painted more swastikas in a nearby underground parking garage.
The 47-year-old suspect could still be found in the underground parking garage, where he was crouching on the ground. He had been arrested.
The investigation revealed that the man from Graz had also painted a railing at Graz main station and an entrance sign with swastikas. The 47-year-old also defaced a tarpaulin with English letters in the area of the nearby underground car park. He was taken to Jakomini prison.
