A large police and rescue team is currently being deployed in the Irish capital Dublin after a previously unknown perpetrator allegedly attacked several people with a knife. According to media reports, five people – including three children – were injured.
Irish broadcaster RTÉ reported that following the incident in Parnell Square East in the city centre, three children were found with suspected stab wounds near a school and taken to hospital. A man was also treated at the scene. According to the British broadcaster BBC, a woman was also among the injured.
The “Irish Times” writes that a suspect has been arrested. This one also has wounds.
