On Saturday evening, brazen thieves targeted members of the various Krampus groups participating in the big run in Klagenfurt.
While 50,000 visitors in Klagenfurt admired the scary masks at the Krampus Run, unknown perpetrators took advantage of the spectacle to steal the scary mask wearers.
The perpetrators sneaked into Halle
“A room in the St. Ruprecht district was converted into a changing room for the members of the participating groups. That is exactly where the unknown perpetrators sneaked in,” said a police officer. “The thieves stole hundreds of euros in cash.”
Information to the police
The theft was only discovered after the flight. Several people affected have filed a complaint. Police are now asking possible witnesses for information.
