Serious allegations are made against a Texas police officer. Xochitl Ortiz was arrested for serious child abuse. The 34-year-old from Harris County allegedly used a stun gun on her three children, ages 8, 11 and 12. Usually only violent or armed criminals are incompetent.
Father has filed a complaint
After an investigation by her own colleagues, Ortiz has now been arrested. She, like her partner Christopher Worthington, had worked for the Harris County Police Department. According to the police report, the father of the children, who is divorcing with Ortiz, has filed a complaint.
Now there is a risk of up to 30 years in prison
He testified that his children told him that their mother attacked them repeatedly with their friend’s electric taser between April 1 and April 4. Ortiz is said to have electrocuted the hands, shoulders and buttocks of her children.
Meanwhile, Worthington has also been suspended. Under Texas law, if convicted, the mother could face up to 30 years in prison — 10 years for the abuse per child.
