The possible extension of the Pyhrnautbahn between Graz and Wildon has been raising eyebrows for years. In 2021, Climate Minister Leonore Gewessler stopped the project, but the ÖVP-SPÖ state government is mobilizing against it. On behalf of the state, a team from the Technical University of Graz, led by traffic expert Martin Fellendorf and the company Trafility, investigated whether there is actually no alternative to a third lane.
