An international human trafficking ring is likely involved
That same evening, a 47-year-old Romanian man was stopped and arrested at the Loibltunnel border crossing. “The man is suspected of being a member of an international human trafficking ring,” investigators said. This gang is also said to have dragged the fourteen Syrians across the border to Austria. The Romanian is in custody and will be reported.
