On Tuesday morning, a truck driver in Winklern (Carinthia) left Möllstraße with his vehicle and fell into the ditch. Four fire brigades were deployed.
The accident happened just after 9 a.m. Tuesday. “The truck driver drove from Winklern in the direction of Lainach and ended up on the verge,” explains Fredi Unterdorfer of the Winklern/Mölltal fire brigade. As a result, the man left Mölltalstraße with his vehicle and ended up in the ditch, where the truck came to a stop on its side.
Stuck in the driver’s cab
According to initial reports, the driver was trapped in the driver’s cabin during the accident. “By the time we got to the scene, he had thankfully freed himself. He was taken by ambulance to the BKH Lienz to be checked,” said Unterdorfer.
The Winklern/Mölltal, Lainach, Reintal and Stall fire brigades were deployed.
