The police in the Tyrolean Oberland have used a mysterious fire: on the terrace of a single house in Sautens (Imst District) a fire broke out in a raised bed, which therefore spread to the facade of the building. Fortunately, the alarmed emergency services were quickly present – they could prevent worse things.
The fire brigade was warned on Monday evening, shortly before 8 p.m. In the raised bed on the terrace of a house with one family, a fire suddenly broke out for an unknown case. “The owner had previously observed the scent of fire and then set an emergency call when the fire was established,” the police said.
Emergency forces prevent worse
“When we arrived on the site, we already saw the smoke and flames,” says Fire Brigade Commander Thomas Steinkeller in an interview with the “Krone”. The fire was already spread to the wooden facade of the house. There was a risk that the fire spread further to the roof. “Fortunately we could just prevent that,” Steinkeller continued.
Research into the cause of the firing
The fire brigade eventually brought the situation under control – “fire of” was given shortly before 8.30 pm. No one has been injured, the amount of material damage made cannot yet be quantified. The cause of the fire is also unclear. The police are determined.
The fire brigade in Sautens was in use with around 30 members and three vehicles. The police and salvation were also on the spot.
