Shortly after 5:30 p.m., an unknown person robbed the tobacconist on Franz-Martin-Straße in Salzburg-Lehen. The perpetrator was armed with a knife and demanded cash in English words and an unknown accent. The employee gave the perpetrator a small amount of money, after which he fled in an unknown direction.

After just a few minutes, the police tracked down the suspected perpetrator. Officers arrested a suspicious man on Ignaz-Harrer-Strasse. He had behaved remarkably. As it soon became clear, the man who was briefly arrested was not the perpetrator.

During rush hour, a heavy traffic jam quickly formed on the busy Ignaz-Harrer-Strasse. The search for the tobacconist has been negative so far. The Salzburg police are investigating the exact facts and further clues.

The description of the perpetrator:
The suspect was wearing black pants, a black jacket with a gray hood and black and white shoes. His face was covered with a light blue balaclava with slits without a mouth opening. The perpetrator’s height is estimated at approximately 160 cm and his age is estimated at 18 to 25 years.
