A 51-year-old woman attacked police officers with cooking pots in the Viennese district of Döbling on Tuesday. The woman could not even be calmed by the use of pepper spray. Several officers eventually had to intervene to secure the irate woman.
Around 3 p.m., police were called to the shelter of a social aid and service organization because the 51-year-old Mongolian woman was rioting there. When police arrived, the woman immediately insulted them and attacked them with various objects, such as cooking pots and a handbag.
The officers’ attempts to talk to her failed to calm the woman; instead, she repeatedly attacked emergency services. The police had no choice but to use pepper spray. But this also had no effect, the 51-year-old continued to rage.
It was only after several more police officers arrived that they managed to use their combined forces to secure the woman. She received emergency medical care due to the use of pepper spray and was taken to a hospital. Police officers were not injured during the operation.
