Due to a family dispute, a 25-year-old allegedly attacked his aunt in her own apartment in Vienna-Währing shortly before midnight on Wednesday. The man is said to have knocked over a refrigerator and injured the 55-year-old’s hand. The suspect then pulled a knife. He then fled through a window.
When the aunt wanted to call the police because her cousin had gone wild, he allegedly took out a butterfly knife and chased her through the apartment with it. The 25-year-old then fled through a window and damaged it.
The police were able to encourage the cousin to return
The officers were able to reach the cousin by telephone and persuade him to return. He was temporarily arrested at his home address.

“An entry and approach ban was issued against him, as well as a temporary ban on weapons,” the executive announced on Thursday. He is currently still in police custody.
