A heavily drunk woman driving a car crashed into a tree on a municipal road in Angerberg (Tyrolean district of Kufstein) on Monday evening. She really shouldn’t have been driving on this road at that moment; it was closed. Luckily for her, the 54-year-old wasn’t the only one who didn’t comply.
According to police, it was 8 p.m. when the local woman drove along the Ochsental municipal road. Due to the weight of the snow on the trees, it should not have been driven on. The road was also covered in snow, which spelled the 54-year-old’s demise shortly afterwards.
Lost control
She lost control of her vehicle on a right turn and slid across the road before eventually hitting a tree and being injured.
Witnesses removed injured people from the car
Subsequent road users found the woman in the accident vehicle and freed her from her car. The emergency services were alerted and provided first aid on the spot, after which the injured person was taken to the hospital in Kufstein.
An alcohol test on the driver involved in the accident was positive. According to the police, she had more than 1.6 per mille of alcohol in her blood.
