Without a driver’s license, 18-year-old ran away from the police at 230 km/h

Because he ignored a red light, a police patrol wanted to arrest an 18-year-old in Graz on Tuesday. But he escaped control and gave chase at speeds of up to 230 kilometers per hour.

On Tuesday evening around 11:55 p.m., the 18-year-old from Graz was spotted by a traffic patrol when he ignored a red light on Kärntnerstrasse and turned left at high speed onto Gradnerstrasse. The police officers gave chase and tried to check the vehicle.

Despite the stop signs, the young man from Graz continued his journey towards Seiersberg, where he joined the A9. The fugitive drove through the Plabutsch tunnel at a speed of 230 km/h, left the motorway at the Peggau/Deutschfeistritz exit and turned south onto the B67.

Ultimately, the 18-year-old was stopped by a patrol and arrested. The driver of the vehicle – he does not have a valid driver’s license – was taken to a police station for questioning. The steering wheel is displayed.
