After a 30-year-old threatened his manager and a roommate with a knife in a dormitory in Vienna-Favoriten on Thursday morning, WEGA had to intervene.
The emergency services who were alerted found the suspect “in the house with the kitchen knife in his hand”, the spokeswoman said. “Despite repeated requests, he did not drop the knife, which is why emergency services had to deploy the Taser.”
Temporary weapons ban
The 30-year-old was then treated by emergency services. An entry and approach ban and a temporary weapons ban were issued against him. “On the orders of the Vienna public prosecutor’s office, the suspect will be taken to a prison,” Gass said.
