A major manhunt for an armed bank robber is currently underway in Vienna-Liesing. Police are asking for more information and witnesses. An attentive ‘Krone’ reader reporter recorded the operation.
On Tuesday afternoon, a previously unknown man stormed a bank branch near a shopping center. There were several employees and customers present in the branch at the time.

According to the police, he suddenly pulled out a suspected firearm and demanded money from the bank employees with a note. After handing over the money, he ran away. There has been no trace of the suspect since then.
No injuries
Since then, a large-scale manhunt has been taking place with police helicopters and police dogs. No one was injured in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
