A dangerous incident occurred on a bus from Graz on Tuesday afternoon. When the bus driver had to slam on the brakes due to an oncoming vehicle, a total of eight passengers were injured to an unspecified degree.
The 37-year-old bus driver drove into the intersection on Kärntner Straße around 3:30 p.m., when a 21-year-old driver from Burgenland also drove into the intersection in question.
Danger when braking
The driver of the car drove into the intersection on the left, against the ‘Prescribed direction of travel’ floor marking. To prevent a traffic accident in time, the bus driver applied emergency braking.
Injuries of an undetermined nature
Eight passengers were injured to an unknown degree and were taken to the accident hospital and the Graz regional hospital.
Both drivers told police they had the green light at the time.
