Wild scenes took place late on Monday afternoon in the quiet Mauer in Vienna-Liesing. Guests at a snack stall and a group of young people got into an argument. A 15-year-old even took out a knife and stabbed a Viennese.
There are not too many police operations on the quiet Maurer Hauptplatz. At 5:30 PM on Monday, several units of uniformed personnel were sent to Liesing. The reason: guests at a sausage stall had a heated argument with a group of young people. It wasn’t just a war of words, though.
Six boys arrested by the police
One of the boys, a 15-year-old, suddenly pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed a 53-year-old in the stomach. As the group ran from the stabbing, the bleeding victim collapsed. During an immediate search, the police found six young people.
Perpetrators accused by their own friends
The 15-year-old Austrian was eventually accused by his own friends and the murder weapon was seized, police spokesman Philipp Haßlinger said. The teen was arrested and later released. The injured man was taken to hospital and according to information from “Krone” his life is not in danger.
