Just like the father, a former Viennese port brother, so does the son: an addict (27) is said to have robbed five banks and a gas station.
Five bank robberies and a gas station robbery were committed by a 27-year-old Viennese woman. After two attacks at the end of November, the perpetrator only struck again at the beginning of last week.
The modus operandi was always the same
Nicknamed ‘Pinocchio’ because of his big nose, he used an FFP2 mask during the last two robberies on Wagramer Strasse and Triester Strasse. The suspect always followed the same modus operandi: he placed a piece of paper with his demands and a gun on the counter. The State Criminal Investigation Department investigators were therefore able to quickly establish a link between the crimes. Colleagues from Lower Austria were also involved in the research. It was soon possible to identify the person primarily responsible for several crimes.
It concerns a drug addict who is now behind bars – just like his father, a well-known port brother. ‘Pinocchio’ was arrested while traveling with two men (25, 26) and a woman (25) in a vehicle with stolen license plates.
Suspicions soon grew that the young people were complicit. The quartet was transferred to a prison in Lower Austria.
The two pairs of Bonnie and Clyde were three Austrian and one Serbian citizens. The investigation is currently being conducted by the Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department, in coordination with the Lower Austrian State Criminal Investigation Department, under the direction of the Wiener Neustadt Public Prosecutor’s Office.
