Hamas’ health authority has accused the Israeli army of torturing a hospital director. He had to tell the ‘account of the occupation’, it said in a statement. The Israeli military previously released a video in which a hospital director admitted that Hamas used the facility.
The Israeli military has repeatedly accused the terrorist organization Hamas of using hospitals as bases for terrorist activities. The man speaking in the video is said to be the head of the Kamal-Adwan hospital in Jabalia, northern Gaza. Ahmed Kahalot says in Arabic that he has been with Hamas since 2010 at the rank of brigadier general, but has not received military training in 13 years. The Hamas members would only stay in his hospital for ten days and then change locations again. In the past, as many as a hundred terrorists would have been hiding in the hospital at the same time. This place is safe for them because they are not exposed to attacks in the facility.

Offices in the hospital
Kahalot said that even 16 of the hospital’s employees were members of Hamas’s armed wing, such as doctors and nurses. According to him, the terrorist organization even has offices with separate telephone cables in his hospital.
According to the alleged hospital director, a soldier kidnapped from Israel was among those treated. A total of around 240 hostages have been kidnapped in the Gaza Strip since the Hamas attack on October 7. The terrorists had their own ambulance to transport abductees and bodies. “I once begged them to take an injured man to Indonesian Hospital or Shifa Hospital for treatment. They refused,” Kahalot said.
The man also criticized the Hamas leadership in the video, which was published on Tuesday. They are cowards who wanted to hide, but left their people behind. The health authority, which is controlled by Hamas, accused the other side of forcing the hospital director to “visualize the occupation.” Ahmed Kahalot was intimidated by Israelis and forced to tell lies about Hamas through “abuse and torture,” the health authority said on Wednesday.
According to reports, Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog has offered a new ceasefire that will last at least a week. In return, about forty hostages will be released from the Gaza Strip.
