A slope in the Tyrolean Stubai Valley started moving on Tuesday evening. A mass of mud and debris made its way into the valley. For safety reasons, part of a residential building and a walking path had to be closed.
On Saturday around 6 p.m. the sirens sounded in Telfes in the Stubai Valley. In the Wiesenhof area, masses of mud and debris thundered into the valley near an inhabited house. “For safety reasons, part of the residential building in the danger zone and the Luimes walking path had to be closed,” the police said.
Twelve Florianis in action
Fortunately, no one was injured. Initially, a drainage ditch was dug with an excavator. A new assessment of the dangerous situation will take place on Wednesday morning. The Telfes volunteer fire brigade was deployed with twelve members.
