Access in Tyrol – women exploited: illegal brothel exposed!

Date:

Strike against illegal prostitution in the Tyrolean lowlands: During searches of a table dancing bar and an adjacent building, investigators were able to discover an illegal brothel in which sex workers were allegedly exploited.

For several months, investigators from the LKA Tirol had set their sights on a “three-headed criminal organization” – consisting of an Austrian (51), a Turk (57) and a Spaniard (34). The entrance finally took place on Thursday evening.

Searches ordered
On the orders of the public prosecutor, two searches were carried out – in a table dancing bar and a nearby building – in the Tyrolean lowlands. The financial police were also present during the checks.

Illegal prostitution flourished
The group is accused of financially exploiting women at the table dancing club in the Lower Country for several months. “Based on the results of the investigation, it is suspected that illegal prostitution was also initiated and carried out by the women. The prostitution took place both in the bar and in the nearby home,” investigators said.

Under ongoing investigations, the illegal prostitutes were said to have had to hand over half of their shameful wages to the pimps.

Evidence, drugs, cash seized
During the searches, “a number of pieces of evidence, a small quantity of narcotics and cash in the four-digit euro class were seized” and the illegally run brothel was officially closed.

During the inspection of the nearby building, two Serbs who were staying illegally in Austria with false IDs were also arrested.

Suspected pimps don’t confess
Ultimately, four suspects and four victims were interviewed. The suspects did not confess to pimping and it was widely reported.
