A 22-year-old from Klagenfurt on the southern highway who skidded in his car probably had a special guardian angel for Christmas on Sunday evening.
The young man was driving on the southern highway towards Villach around 2 a.m. when his car skidded for unknown reasons near Pritschitz. The car then left the road and overturned before coming to rest on its roof.
Miraculously, the driver was able to get out of his car independently and make an emergency call. The 22-year-old was taken to the Klagenfurt clinic with minor injuries. “An alcohol test performed at the scene was negative,” police said. The vehicle was a total loss.
The volunteer fire brigades of Pörtschach and Krumpendorf were on duty.
