The police in the Tyrolean lowlands have now been able to stop a suspected fraud couple: not only are the Germans (73 and 68 years old) said to have rented a hotel, even though they are broke, the man is also said to have shown interest in real estate and have concluded preliminary contracts.
Without moss, nothing happens: this German couple probably doesn’t believe this saying at all. The 73-year-old and his wife (68) are said to have stayed in a hotel in Kirchberg (Kitzbühel district) in mid-December. “Even though they knew they would not be able to pay the costs,” police say.
Real estate contracts concluded
But that’s not all: during his stay in Tyrol, the apparently bankrupt man showed interest in various properties and, among other things, even concluded preliminary contracts. He is also said to have ordered a television.
Suspect is in custody
The suspect was eventually arrested by the police and taken to Innsbruck prison. The woman left the hotel without paying the bill.
Any other victims are asked to contact the Kirchberg police station: telephone number: 059 133/7205.
