Two people were injured in a traffic accident in the Tyrolean lowlands on Wednesday evening: A car and a van collided at an intersection in Buch (Schwaz district). The two drivers – a young resident (18) and a 48-year-old – had to go to the hospital.
The accident happened just before 7:30 p.m., police said. The 18-year-old was driving her Audi on the B171 Tiroler Straße from Schwaz in an easterly direction and wanted to turn left onto the L7 at the so-called “Bucher junction”. At the same time, a 48-year-old Austrian was driving in the opposite direction on the B171.
After first aid to the hospital
Two vehicles collided at the intersection, causing significant damage. “Both drivers suffered injuries and were taken by ambulance to the Schwaz district hospital after first aid,” the researchers conclude.
