Spectacular accident Monday morning in Lermoos in Ausserfern, Tyrol: A 34-year-old German may have crashed into the guardrail because he was asleep for a minute. His car then overturned and rolled over. He was seriously injured and taken to the clinic.
Shortly before 9 a.m., the German drove his car on Ehrwalder Straße from Germany towards Lermoos. According to initial investigations, he probably fell asleep there briefly and ended up on the right side of the road. He drove over a guardrail.
The car overturned. Only after about 100 meters did the vehicle come to a stop.
Driver injured, road closed
Subsequent road users started the rescue chain. After the first treatment, the 34-year-old was taken to the clinic in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with significant injuries. The road was closed to all traffic for approximately 20 minutes during the rescue work and accident investigation.
