On Christmas Day there was no sign of Christmas peace at the Allgäu Airport in Memmingen, Bavaria, which is also very popular with the Vorarlbergers. A Serbian couple got into an argument with airport staff. The reason: the woman’s hand luggage was clearly too large.
On the afternoon of Christmas Day, a Serbian couple wanted to fly from Memmingen to Belgrade with Wizz Air. However, because the 49-year-old lady’s hand luggage significantly exceeded the permitted dimensions, a loud argument broke out between the airport staff and the 47-year-old man and the 49-year-old lady.
The border police had to intervene
Due to their extremely angry and unreasonable behavior, the couple was eventually banned from the flight. However, they now expressed their increasingly vocal dissatisfaction with the border police officers deployed. They ordered the two people ejected from the airport area and routinely escorted the couple to the exit, amid ongoing protests.
