Fire alarm on New Year’s Day at a house in Kirchberg in Tyrol (Kitzbühel district). A fire broke out in a waste room. This may partly have to do with discarded New Year’s Eve rockets.
Shortly after 5 p.m. on Monday, sirens sounded in Kirchberg. The garbage room of a house was on fire. “The fire was probably caused by discarded fireworks, cigarettes and ash,” police said.
Fortunately, no one was injured
The fire also spread to the facade and roof area. By opening the parts, the Kirchberg volunteer fire brigade, which immediately rushed to the fire with five vehicles and 46 emergency services, was able to quickly bring the flames under control. “There was significant property damage,” the director said. Fortunately, no one was injured.
