Shocking incident in Villach: An unknown animal hater stabbed a dog to death. The owner of the four-legged friend found his faithful companion covered in blood on the street when he returned home.
Without suspecting anything bad, the holidaymaker from the Netherlands left his holiday home in Villach on Thursday around 7 p.m. The 62-year-old temporarily left his two-year-old mixed-breed dog alone.
When the Carinthia fan finally returned two hours later, he made the terrible discovery: his beloved four-legged friend lay lifeless on the street. There was no rescue for the animal.
The police are looking for witnesses
The dog was brutally killed by an unknown perpetrator with a knife or a similar sharp object. According to information from “Krone”, the mixed breed (he could open doors) probably left the property, which was not completely fenced, on his own.
In any case, there is nothing to indicate a burglary. The investigation is in full swing – and we are also looking for possible witnesses to the brutal act in the St. Ulrich district.
