Two unknown people allegedly robbed a cash transport truck early Friday morning in Großkarolinenfeld, Germany, in the Rosenheim district. The men fled. The Rosenheim police have started an investigation. The search extended as far as Austria.
Scenes like those in the film probably took place around 9:30 am in Großkarolinenfeld, when two masked perpetrators attacked the two-man crew of a cash transport truck. The unknown people acted extremely brutally: one member was hit on the head with an object.
The robbers then looted the van and stole an undisclosed amount of cash, taking their loot into a white van. Then they fled. As German police announced, “the crew of the cash-in-transit vehicle also used firearms against the crime vehicle.”
Also search in Tyrol
An immediately initiated search has so far been unsuccessful. The measures were briefly extended to the border with Tyrol, as Enrico Leitgeb of the Tyrolean State Traffic Department reported at the request of the Tyrolean “Krone”: “The German police have filed a search request after an incident in Germany. We then sent our colleagues to the border in Kufstein to provide support and manned four checkpoints.”
Shortly after 11 a.m. the manhunt on the German side was said to have been disbanded. The Tyrolean colleagues also permanently stopped the measures. The first investigations on site have already been started by the Rosenheim police. Further investigations are underway.
