The occupants of several vehicles that skidded in the Zillertal on the extremely slippery road were extremely lucky on Saturday. The fire brigade had to break free and save the crashed cars. A crane was also needed.
A resident of Zellberg had all the guardian angels on board on Saturday morning. While driving through the valley, he lost control of his car due to the extremely slippery road surface. His car then slid straight towards a steep forest and was in danger of crashing.
Man jumped out of car
He was just able to escape by jumping out of the car. Fortunately, he was not injured during his stunt. The Zell am Ziller volunteer fire brigade had to cut down trees to recover the badly damaged vehicle with the crane.
German slipped into parked cars
A short time later, a German driver also lost control of his vehicle on the slippery road. He first crashed into two parked cars. His ride didn’t end there, however.
He then broke through a wooden fence and fell down an adjacent slope. Here too, the residents were extremely lucky: everyone was unharmed. However, there was significant damage to all vehicles. They had to be towed away.
