The famous Moscow nightclub Mutabor has to close for 90 days due to a party with scantily clad celebrities. A court ordered this on Wednesday because the club allegedly violated “hygienic and epidemiological requirements”.
In late December, videos appeared on online platforms showing numerous famous people from the Russian entertainment industry wearing lingerie and other revealing clothing. They celebrated in the Moscow nightclub Mutabor under the motto “Almost Naked”.

Apologies and prison sentences
The rapper Vacio was seen in photos of the celebration wearing only a sock over his genitals. He has since been sentenced to 15 days in jail and drafted to a military recruitment center. Other prominent guests such as Russian ESC winner Dima Bilan, pop star Filipp Kirkorov, journalist Xenia Sobchak and actress Anastasia Ivleyeva publicly apologized after the party.
The Kremlin has so far declined to comment. Conservative politicians, however, called for investigations against the participants. A Russian court has now complied with this request and ordered on Wednesday that the Mutabor club must be closed for 90 days. The reason: ‘hygienic and epidemiological requirements’ were violated at the party.
